Visual feedback for websites and coding agents

Comment on any website. Hand the fix to your agent.

pinthread pins threaded comments to real elements on your site. Your team talks changes through in place, and your coding agent gets the page, the element, and the whole conversation.

How it works

From a comment to a shipped fix in three steps.

  1. Add it once

Install the package and mount it in your app. Keep it on development and preview builds, or wherever your team reviews.

  2. Pin the feedback

Reviewers click any button, image, or area and leave a comment. Replies, reactions, and resolve keep the thread in one place.

  3. Hand it to your agent

Copy the comments or let your agent read them with the CLI. It gets the page, selector, source file, and replies.

Features

Review the real page, not a screenshot.

Every comment stays attached to the element it is about, so nobody has to describe where the problem is.

Comments

Leave a comment right where it belongs.

Pin a comment to a button, image, or area. Discuss it with your team, then resolve it when the work is done.

  • Anchored to elements

Comments remember the selector and visible text, so they follow the element through layout changes.

  • Threads and reactions

Reply, react, mention the details, and resolve threads when the change ships.

  • Any framework

The widget runs in an isolated ShadowRoot, so it never clashes with your styles.

  • Branch-scoped feedback

Keep feedback per branch or share it across deployments of the same page.

  • Guests or sign-in

Teammates sign in with Google or join as a named guest. Owners can restrict a project to invited accounts.

  • Your data stays portable

Export a project to JSON, import it elsewhere, or run the comments API on your own infrastructure.

FAQ

Common questions.

What is pinthread?

pinthread adds threaded comments to any website. Pin a comment to an element or area, discuss it with your team, and give your coding agent the page, element, and conversation when you are ready to make the change.

Is pinthread tied to a framework?

No. pinthread mounts in the browser and keeps its interface in an isolated ShadowRoot. Your site can use React, Astro, Vue, or plain JavaScript.

How much does pinthread cost?

Hosted plans are in early access, and we will publish prices at launch. Email [email protected] to join early access.

Can I self-host pinthread?

Yes. You can run the comments API in your own Cloudflare account or in a Node container with PostgreSQL. The hosting guide covers both setups.

Does everyone need a Google account?

The project owner does. Reviewers can sign in with Google or enter a display name as a guest. A guest name is not a verified identity.
