When Agentation fits better
- You work alone in a React app.
- You want React component names in the output.
- You want notes on your machine, with no hosted service.
When pinthread fits better
- Your site is not a React app, or you cannot change its code much.
- Reviewers who are not developers leave feedback on the real page.
- Comments must stay after 7 days and be shared, without a server you run.
- Your agent should reply in the thread and resolve it when the fix is done.
Switch from Agentation
- Sign up free and create a project for your site.
- Paste the script tag into your shared layout.
- Add each address where your site runs in the project's Settings.
- Copy any Agentation notes you still need, then remove the
<Agentation />component. If you used Agent Sync, remove theagentation-mcpserver from your agent. - Connect your agent. The agent guide has the setup for Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex.

Does pinthread work without React?
Yes. pinthread loads from one script tag and keeps its interface in an isolated ShadowRoot. It works on plain HTML, React, Next.js, Astro, Vue, and site builders that accept custom code.
Do my reviewers need to install anything?
No. They open your site, click the pinthread button, and sign in with Google or comment as a named guest.
